The date for the 2011 Running Festival incorporating the 10th Half Marathon and 3rd 10K Race is Sunday 30th October 2011, both events commencing at 11.00 am from the side of Jedburgh Abbey.

but only by paper entry or telephone

The entries for the event are continuing to come in and numbers may exceed last years record entry. If you have not yet registered there is still time, but hurry.
The organising committee have been working hard and as usual there are a band of local volunteers ready to steward this running event. All the support team look forward to welcoming the runners and their supporters.

The pictures below has been taken from the 2010 event where 648 registered to run the Half marathon and 426 registered for the 10K in the Festival Races.

The Ninth Jedburgh Half Marathon was successfully run and the 2010 years winner was Jonathan Carpenter in 1 hour 12.20 minutes.
The female winner was Jennifer McLean in 1 hour 24.25 minutes.

The Second 10K Race was successfully won by Robert Turner in 34.28 minutes.
The first woman across the line was Gillian Carr in 41.42 minutes.

Wheelchair atheletes As a part of the festival there was also the 10K wheelchair race. This was another successful year with the winner being Simon Lawson in 23:08 minutes and the first lady being Jade Jones in 26:13. Simon has now won this race two years in a row and this year set a new course record.

In addition to the traditional wheelchair there were also some hand bike chairs, the first in this category being Alistair Corps-Bell in 18:37 minutes.
